“That I May Gain Christ”
It is easy to focus on things we have given up during the pandemic. Mostly we lament the changes that have been forced on us. Paul willingly gave up things he once thought were most valuable, in order to know Christ. What are we willing to give up to make Christ the center of our lives? To use Paul’s phrase, does knowing Christ surpass all the other things we hold dear?

“Think on These Things”
What preoccupies our minds? Does it seem like there are just too many things to think about today? Maybe it is time to take a break and think about thinking. Paul invites us to think about things that help us know Christ better.

In the midst of doubt and uncertainty, God reassures the prophet Moses that God knows him by name. What does it mean that God know us by name? It means that sometimes we need to just rest in God’s presence.
