During the month of February, St. James Youth is working with our youth basketball teams and hosting a fund raising campaign for Rice Bowls, an organization created to provide food for the body and spirit of orphans in the name of Christ. They work through orphanages around the world that are intentional in seeking for each child to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and then in discipling each child to live lives that will be a joy and delight to the Lord.
Starting January 31st, each participant will be given one of our plastic “rice bowl” containers and asked to collect change. Throughout St. James, rice bowls displays will be set up in every Sunday School classroom, the church offices, and outside of the church narthex on Sunday morning after the 10:55 worship service. We would like to ask for your help this month by donating your spare change to our cause.
