You’re familiar with many of Jesus’ parables. But have you ever wondered how these stories must have sounded to his first listeners – strange, scary, crazy?
Join us starting October 13 as we read and discuss “Short Stories by Jesus – the enigmatic parables of a controversial rabbi” by Amy-Jill Levine.
We will try to hear these familiar stories with new ears. How were they understood by Jesus’ first followers? How can we understand them in a new light? What do they mean in today’s world?
The group will meet on Tuesdays at 9:30am in the Church Library for seven weeks.
QUESTIONS: Call the Church Office (404) 261-3121. Hope you’ll join us!
