St. James has a thriving and vibrant music program with many different opportunities to share your musical talents. Whether you sing, ring bells, play an instrument, or just want to learn, there is a spot for you in one of our ensembles!

Members of our musical groups have a wide variety of skill level, ranging from beginners to professionals. We are all on an educational journey together, working and learning to be the best musicians that we can be; everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us.

Children’s Music Programs

All children, Pre-K through 5th Grade, are invited to join us for our Music Programs!

Cherub Choir, led by Mattie Hall, is for children in Pre-K – 2nd Grade. Junior Choir and Junior Bells, led by Marcela Meeks, is for children in 3rd – 5th Grade. This year we are introducing Kidz Jam Choir, led by Director of Music Ministry, Andrew Schmidt. We meet weekly at 5:15pm on Wednesdays during the school year.

Men’s Choir

The St James Men’s Choir is a fun group of men who gather a few times a year to sing and provide music for worship together. Rehearsals are typically on Monday evenings the month leading up to Sunday singing.

Chancel Choir

The St James Chancel choir consists of adults of all ages with varying skill levels. The choir has a deep commitment to providing music for worship and is a devoted, welcoming and warm group of singers. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 7:30-9pm in the choir room.
