FAQ for Yoga Flow Class:

1. Do I need to have prior experience with yoga to join?
No, this class is designed for beginners! No prior experience is required. We will guide you through the basics and help you build your practice at your own pace. Yoga is for everybody!

2. What should I bring to class?
Yoga mat: If you don’t have one, we can loan you one.
Comfortable clothing: Wear clothes that allow you to move freely.
Water bottle: Staying hydrated is important.

3. What is the best time to eat before class?
It’s ideal to eat a light meal or snack about 1-2 hours before class. Avoid heavy meals right before practice to feel more comfortable during the session.

4. What if I’m not very flexible?
Don’t worry! Yoga is about improving flexibility over time, not about how flexible you are when you start. The instructor will provide modified poses to suit your ability.

5. Can I take breaks during the class?
Absolutely! If you need to take a break or rest, feel free to do so. Yoga is about listening to your body and practicing at a pace that feels right for you!

6. Do I need to be in great shape to start yoga?
No! Yoga is accessible to everyone, regardless of fitness level. The practice can help you improve strength, flexibility, and mental clarity over time.

7. What will we do in yoga?
In this beginner class, we focus on foundational styles that are slow-paced and easy to follow. We emphasize stability, strength, and flexibility/mobility. Every body is different, and so poses will look different on different people.

8. Is yoga a good way to reduce stress?
Yes! Yoga is well-known for its calming effects. The combination of physical movement, breathwork, and mindfulness can help reduce stress and promote relaxation.

10. Will I get sore after class?
It’s common to feel some muscle soreness, especially if you’re new to yoga or haven’t exercised in a while. This is a normal part of building strength and flexibility. Just listen to your body, and don’t push too hard!

11. Should I talk to my instructor if I have any injuries?
Yes! Always inform your instructor about any injuries or health concerns before class so they can offer modifications or alternatives to certain poses.

12. How can I make the most of my first yoga class?
Be open-minded and patient with yourself.
Focus on your breath and try not to worry about doing everything “perfectly.”
Relax, enjoy the process, and remember: yoga is a journey, not a destination.
