Marla brings nearly 30 years of experience in early childhood education to her role as Director of St. James UMC Preschool. She began her career in preschool administration at Rock Spring Presbyterian Church in 1997 and has extensive experience leading both Mother’s Morning Out and early childhood education programs.
A graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marla is passionate about creating nurturing, high-quality learning environments for children and families. She is excited to build on the strong legacy of St. James Preschool while supporting its teachers, students, and families.
Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Marla moved to Atlanta after college and now shares her home with her beloved black cocker spaniel, Frankie.
